Interviewing Skills
A specialized training program which focuses on how to perform a professional interview for assessment purposes.

Target Audience

Executives who interview internal or external candidates for a job openings and positions

Training Goals

  • to develop and enhance the interviewer’s skills in order to best contribute towards the objectiveness of the assessment
  • to identify the current level of the interviewee’s skills and to assess his/her potential

  • The interview as a means of assessing individuals for a job
  • The technique of elicitation - Basic principles  
  • The art of questioning 
  • Active listening 
  • Identifying significant cues worth further elicitation
  • Achieving clarity 
  • Identifying and verifying ‘grey’ areas, without violating the personal zone of the interviewee
  • Identifying the level of motivation of the individual
  • Avoiding awkward and/or silent moments
  • Becoming aware of body language signs
  • Verifying in practice the interviewee’s claims
  • Identifying the degree of improvement of the interviewee during the interview
  • Learning to keep under control the interviewer’s personal beliefs and biases

Training Methodology

  • short presentations
  • continuous role-plays with a varying degree of difficulty during which each participant receives individual coaching 
  • individual personal feedback

Duration and Participations

2 training days (2 working days - 16 training hours) in groups of 6-8 participants
